About
Who's behind Snollo
Snollo is built by Artsiom Pryshchepau, an independent developer who builds the app and researches and writes the sleep guides on this site.
Biography
I'm Artsiom — a solo developer, and the person who designs, builds, and maintains Snollo. There's no team behind a brand name here; Snollo is an independent app, and what you read on this site is written and researched by the same person who writes the code.
Snollo exists because of one conviction: the most intimate audio an app could ever collect — your bedroom, while you're asleep — should never leave your phone. So Snollo classifies sleep sounds and snoring on the device itself, using Apple's CoreML, and stores what you keep in your own iCloud under your Apple ID. There's no Snollo server holding your recordings, because there's no Snollo server at all. That architecture is also why the core features can be genuinely free rather than a trial.
I spend a lot of time reading the actual research on sleep, snoring, and sleep-disordered breathing — and the guides on this site reflect that. Every article cites its sources (CDC, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Johns Hopkins, Harvard Health, and peer-reviewed work where relevant) so you can check the claims yourself rather than take my word for it.
A note on medical claims
I'm a developer and researcher, not a doctor. Snollo and the guides on this site are designed to help you see your own sleep data and understand it — not to diagnose anything. No app can diagnose sleep apnea or any other condition; that requires a clinical evaluation. Where the content touches on health, it points you toward professional care and validated tools (like the STOP-BANG screener) rather than offering a diagnosis. If something about your sleep or breathing worries you, please talk to a clinician.
What Snollo is, briefly
On-device by design
Audio is classified on your iPhone with CoreML — never uploaded to a server.
Genuinely free core
Snore detection, sleep stages, and playback are free, with optional Premium for extras.
Yours, in your iCloud
Saved data lives in your own private iCloud under your Apple ID. Uses the Apple ID you already have.
iPhone-first
Works iPhone-only via the microphone; adds Apple Watch sleep stages if you have a watch.
The App Store listing is "Sleep Slip — Sleep Tracker"; the brand is Snollo. Same app, same developer. You can read more about the privacy architecture or what's free.
